Death by a Thousand Culls

by Not Sure

22 January 2023

Last week, my brother had a detached retina on his left eye.  On Tuesday, I went with him to the retina center and they confirmed what he had suspected on Monday night.  This is a serious event and requires emergency surgery.  The surgery was scheduled for early Wednesday morning.  There was a slight chance that they might have squeezed him in Tuesday night, but he needed to see how he was going to scrape together the money to pay for it, as it must be paid in full before the hospital and doctor will confirm the booking.

As my brother describes it, he didn’t win the genetic lottery with his eyes.  This would be his fifth surgery in as many years.  Several years ago, he had a detached retina on his right eye and there were three other surgeries, one of which was to correct something that hadn’t gone right in the primary surgery.

Back at home, the hospital and doctor’s office called with the fee quotes.  Anesthesia would be $600, the surgeon $1200 and the operating room (for an out-patient procedure) would be $5400.  My brother was freaked out.  The anesthetist’s and surgeon’s fees were right in line with what they had been since 2018, but in the past, the operating room had been about $2200.  When he had a surgery in August of 2022, the room cost had crept up to $2700, but he was now looking at a doubling of price in a six-month period.

Not knowing where he could come up with that chunk, I suggested we call the hospital and try to negotiate a reduction.  We went through his check book stubs going back to 2018 to confirm each price and then I left a message with the hospital booking and billing department.  I briefly explained that $5400 was a 100% increase since August of 2022 and quickly ran through the past numbers.  Could they please call back and see what could be arranged?

Nobody called back from the hospital.  About nine o’clock that night, my brother reached the surgeon’s office after hours.  They said he would need to drive an hour out of the way in the morning to pay at the office before driving another hour to the hospital.

We left at six-thirty AM for a nine-thirty check-in to the hospital for the eleven o’clock surgery.  We stopped by the surgeon’s office, and he paid them by check.  We drove another hour to the hospital.

What transpired next can only be described as brutal.  They didn’t care that he couldn’t afford a 100% increase.  The Stone-Cold Billing B**ch said “Our book says we can charge as much as $11,000 for a room for this procedure, so you’re getting a deal.”  Seeing that this was a no-win situation, my brother got out his check book to which Stone-Cold said, “We don’t accept checks.”  My brother said, “I’ve always paid by check.  I’ve paid this same hospital four previous times by check.”

Stone-Cold wasn’t budging.  She told my brother he would need to go to his bank and get cash or a cashier’s check.  He said, “The nearest branch of my bank is an hour away.  If I don’t have the surgery as scheduled, I could lose my eyesight.  This is an emergency.”  To which she replied, “You might have an emergency, but this is not an emergency room, and we don’t have to treat you.”

Recognizing defeat and knowing that we had no time to waste, we asked if they could post-pone the surgery till later that afternoon.  They set the time for 2 PM.  We drove the hour to his nearest branch location.  He got a cashier’s check, raiding the money we had set aside to pay our property taxes.  He had the surgery and it appears to have been a success.  He has a long recovery ahead of him but at least he retains his eyesight, for now.  That’s ultimately what matters, right?

Or is it?  My brother had just been brutalized by the medical machinery which no longer even pretends to be there to help save lives.  Having gotten away with murder for the last three years, these establishments, from the top brass to the little booking secretaries at the bottom, are now baring their fangs for all to see.  My brother said, “Look, I have seen what has gone on with the lying CDC, the hospitals making stacks of money on Covid deaths and denying effective treatments, but this put it right in my face and it’s frightening.”

Last week, I received an email from someone saying “Now the culling has begun.”  It got me thinking about the word cull and what it means to cull.  I had always used the word synonymously with the word thin and at times I’ve used it interchangeably with kill, but they don’t mean the same thing.  Here’s a simple Wiki definition of the word:

“In biology, culling is the process of segregating organisms from a group according to desired or undesired characteristics. In animal breeding, it is the process of removing or segregating animals from a breeding stock based on a specific trait. This is done to exaggerate desirable characteristics, or to remove undesirable characteristics by altering the genetic diversity of the population. For livestock and wildlife, culling often refers to the act of killing removed animals based on their individual characteristics, such as their sex or species membership.

The word cull comes from the Latin verb colligere, meaning "to gather". The term can be applied broadly to mean partitioning a collection into two groups: one that will be kept and one that will be rejected. The cull is the set of items rejected during the selection process. The culling process is repeated until the selected group is of proper size and consistency desired.

But regardless of the nuances of the word’s meaning, the process was begun long ago.  In twentieth century history, look at all the deaths of World War I and II.  Twenty million or more killed under Stalin’s regime, including those who died during the Soviet famines of 1932-33 and 1946-47.  Mao Zedong is said to have killed seventy-seven million, forty-five million of those during the four years between 1958-1962 of “Mao’s Great Famine.”

You could think of war as a “gathering” process, since it divides people into two groups: those who plan and start wars and those who are sent to fight them.  During this gathering process, those that will ultimately be rejected can still be used in the short term for wars, so the desirable traits to exaggerate are militarism and blind obedience.  The segment that will be kept are those who have long planned and started the wars.  Their inbred characteristics are reinforced: psychopathy, ruthlessness, greed, amorality.

This week’s Redux is the second hour of Alan Watt "Cutting Through The Matrix" LIVE on WTPRN, from February 7, 2008.:

"WAR IS PEACE

FREEDOM IS SLAVERY

IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH" -George Orwell, "1984"

At the beginning of this talk, Alan let his introductory song play in its entirety.  It is Leonard Cohen’s The Future.  Here are the lyrics to that song:

The Future

Give me back my broken night
my mirrored room, my secret life
it's lonely here,
there's no one left to torture
Give me absolute control
over every living soul
And lie beside me, baby,
that's an order!
Take the only tree that's left
and stuff it up the hole
in your culture
Give me back the Berlin wall
give me Stalin and St Paul
I've seen the future, brother:
it is murder.

Things are going to slide, slide in all directions
Won't be nothing
Nothing you can measure anymore
The blizzard, the blizzard of the world
has crossed the threshold
and it has overturned
the order of the soul.

 When they said REPENT REPENT
I wonder what they meant
When they said REPENT REPENT
I wonder what they meant
When they said REPENT REPENT
I wonder what they meant.

You don't know me from the wind
you never will, you never did
I was the little Jew
who wrote the Bible
I've seen the nations rise and fall
I've heard their stories, heard them all
but love's the only engine of survival
Your servant here, he has been told
to say it clear, to say it cold:
It's over, it ain't going any further
And now the wheels of heaven stop
you feel the devil's RIDING crop
Get ready for the future:
it is murder.

Things are going to slide, slide in all directions
Won't be nothing
Nothing you can measure anymore
The blizzard, the blizzard of the world
has crossed the threshold
and it has overturned
the order of the soul

 When they said REPENT REPENT
I wonder what they meant
When they said REPENT REPENT
I wonder what they meant
When they said REPENT REPENT
I wonder what they meant.

Just in case you like to read while listening, here is Alan’s introduction to the second hour:

“Hi folks. I'm Alan Watt and we're Cutting Through the Matrix, and that song pretty well says it all because the future is here and the murdering is simply going on in other countries right now, but the big eating machine will eventually be around to your door. That's why all these black-clad goons, the new ninjas of the world, they're all standardized, probably all the same uniforms, same suppliers and the same very short haircuts that they style after the old Roman soldiers, the crew cuts they call them, are all over the place with their machine guns looking at you as though you are an object. A strange object and they are itching to kill because that's they type that go in for these particular jobs and they don't take much convincing once they're in. They get a certain type of brainwashing which makes them feel superior and different and elite. You always do that in the military. You tell them they're special. They don't belong to the public. They're private. That's why you're called a private soldier. You're privately owned and so is your mind if you have one at all and they'll make sure that you become paranoid about the public. We're going to see a hell all around us very shortly with all of this massive intrusion that's happening.”

Often when we listen to one of Alan’s talks in the past, it feels like we’re right there living through the events he describes, or we’re amazed by how clearly he saw what was coming.  But with this introduction when Alan says, “…the murdering is simply going on in other countries right now, but the big eating machine will eventually be around to your door…” we understand what a difference fifteen years can make, because the murdering is now going on in your country, the big eating machine is at your door.  Right now.

“Why are most people cowards?”  The answer to this question is explored in the following video and transcript:

Why are Most People Cowards? | Obedience and the Rise of Authoritarianism

https://academyofideas.com/2022/01/why-are-most-people-cowards-obedience-and-the-rise-of-authoritarianism/

“…we are going to explore how a hyper-conformity and blind obedience has infected the West and, in the process, crowded out the cultivation of courage. We will discuss how a widespread cowardice is permitting the rise of authoritarianism, and how a rebirth of courage is the antidote to our precarious political predicament.

The pathological conformity that infects the West is generations in the making and the result of a confluence of factors. It is driven by a value system in which social validation occupies a pre-eminent position. It is furthered by the use of social media and the fact that success on these platforms is achieved by virtue signalling and conforming to the moral flavours of the day. It is also a product of an education system which deifies the democratic ideal and promotes the rights of the majority over the rights of the individual.

Communication theorist and philosopher Marshall MacLuhan died in 1980, but that grabber of his “the medium is the message” is worth returning to from time to time.  He said that the content of any medium blinds us to the character of that medium.  The “content of any medium is always another medium" – thus, speech is the content of writing, writing is the content of print, and print itself is the content of the telegraph.

Alan Watt was strongly against the use of what we now see as the ubiquitous forms of social media: Facebook, chat rooms and forums, Tweets and the comment sections under every Tom, Dick and Harry’s repost of a video.  The very character of these media is derivative.  These media seldom deliver original content, just people endlessly commenting on someone else’s work.  They love it.  They hate it.  The creator is a jerk because they said something that makes it sound as if they believe in Germ Theory.

And the Jews.  It’s the Jews this and the Jews that.  It’s always the Jews.  This is what so many comment sections turn into, at least in some media ghettos.  This is what people confusedly think is free speech.

In other forums and comment sections, the back and forth might be slightly more elevated but it’s always “my retort in response to.”  It’s derivative.  Most of it points fingers at “them” who are doing this to “us.”  There’s not a lot of personal responsibility and insight to be found there because the very character of the media is conformist.  Someone out there reposts a video of someone making a claim, stating their position, exposing a fact, sharing their research and all the millions watching log in to agree or disagree, to “virtually” shout their two minutes of hate.  The content of the medium is vomit.  The character of those who participate in this on a regular basis is the character you would expect of people who like to eat vomit.

Alan had the courage it takes to create, to speak his mind, to offer his unique voice to the world.  He didn’t want people parroting and endlessly commenting on his work in chat rooms forever and ever, Amen, but rather to be emboldened by his example, so they too could have the courage to find their own voice and lift it outside the confines of media which have all been designed to entrap us.  The opposite of courage is cowardice and conformity.  It’s hiding behind your hashtag and slinging vomit.

Alan talked about two very real ways that the world’s populations have been under attack for many years.  Chemtrails.  Being sprayed from the sky “like bugs.”  I don’t know what the skies are like where you live, but here they are spraying every day, all day long, line upon line, criss-crossing, endless.  I’ve been watching the skies for many years and I have never seen this much spraying.

Another form of attack he covers is the fluoridation of the water.  While many countries in Europe have banned this, the United States has been fluoridating the public water since the 1950’s with Edward Bernays marketing this aluminum manufacturing toxic waste by-product as “safe and beneficial” on behalf of big companies such as Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA) and Aluminum Company of Canada, Dupont, U.S. Steel and the National Institute of Dental Research.

A link to a good overview of fluoridation, its history and dangers:

There is an excellent book that Alan Watt has mentioned entitled The Fluoride Deception by Christopher Bryson.  Here is an interview with Mr. Bryson:

Over the years, Alan has shared quite a bit about the techniques that Bernays used to market tobacco, fluoride, even wars.  One thing that Bernays excelled at was giving the products he marketed the veneer of “science,” the stamp of approval from the medical establishment.

In Patrick Radden Keefe’s book Empire of Pain | The Secret History of the Sackler Dynasty, he writes that in 1960 Arthur Sackler had developed the marketing and promotions campaign for Roche’s Librium and also designed the PR campaign for Roche’s Valium in 1963 by using medical groups and panels which he himself assembled and paid.  He inundated physicians with marketing mailers, sending audios to their office with recordings of other physicians extolling the benefits of Librium.  The scientific research for efficacy and the claims of how hard it would be for a patient to become addicted to these drugs was scanty at best.

Decades later, the Sackler’s company Purdue Pharma was using the same blitz marketing and hard sell, with impressive sounding “scientific” claims to market OxyContin, raking in billions each year and leaving behind a trail of addiction and death.

Keefe doesn’t mention Edward Bernays and it’s possible that he is unaware of his pioneering marketing techniques or perhaps he didn’t see a trail which led from Bernays to the Sackler family.

The results of the marketing blitzes and the seal of scientific approval are the same wherever the techniques are applied.  Toxic waste and toxic drugs are flooded out onto the populace and the primary targets are so often the poorest people in society.  A cull by any other name.

In the U.S. in 2020, an average of forty-four people a day died from overdoses involving prescription opioids for a total of approximately 16,000 that year alone.  The total number of overdoses in the U.S. that year from drugs of all types was 93,331.  That’s 0.028003145643988% of the U.S. population, so who misses them?  Only their families and loved ones.

In Scotland in 2020, there were 1300 drug overdoses.  That’s 0.023795142130214% of Scotland’s population.  Barely a dent.

Around 73 million abortions take place around the world each year, but about 140 million babies are born each year.  According to Worldometer, the earth’s population is expected to reach 8 billion this year.  You can see why the ruling class must come at us from so many directions to get the cull where they want it to be.

After a station break, Alan played Universal Soldier sung by Donovan.  The song was written by Indigenous Canadian-American singer-songwriter Buffy Sainte-Marie in 1964 and featured on her album The Universal Soldier.  Here are the lyrics to that song:

Universal Soldier

He's five foot two,

and he's six feet four,

he fights with missiles and with spears,

he's all of thirty-one,

and he's only seventeen,

he's been a soldier for a thousand years.

He's a Catholic, a Hindu,

an atheist, a Jain,

a Buddhist, and a Baptist and a Jew,

and he knows, he shouldn't kill,

and he knows, he always will,

killing for me, my friend, and me for you.

And he's fighting for Canada,

he's fighting for France,

he's fighting for the USA

and he's fighting for the Russians,

he's fighting for Japan,

and he thinks we'll put an end to war this way.

And he's fighting for democracy,

he's fighting for the Reds,

he says it's for the peace of all,

he's the one who must decide,

who's to live and who's to die,

and he never sees the writing on the wall.

But without him, how would Hitler

have condemned him at Lwów, (German concentration camp)

without him Cesar would have stood alone,

he's the one, who gives his body

as a weapon of the war,

and without him all this killing can't go on.

He's the universal soldier,

and he really is to blame,

his orders come from far away, no more,

they come from here and there,

and you and me and brothers,

can't you see,

this is not the way we put the end to war.

Buffy said she was in a coffee house (The Purple Onion) in Toronto, Canada in 1963 and saw wounded soldiers, bandaged and limping or being helped to walk, all returning from Vietnam and that’s what inspired her to write the song.  Canadians were being told that they weren’t fighting in Vietnam and officially they never entered the war.  The U.S. messed around over there for two decades.  Universal Soldier is a very good indictment of war and a song that puts responsibility on the individual soldier.

Sainte-Marie’s recollection of the coffee house scene is a bit different from that of Alan Watt.  She remembers the earnestness of the students, the feeling that it was a grass roots scene that would make a difference.  Alan met people in the coffee house folk music scene of Toronto, albeit nearly three decades later and as he said a time or two in his talks, there was an odd fellow from England with a posh accent and a decidedly Communist bent who seemed to be directing things.  When Alan played in these small clubs, the audience always enjoyed him, but on several occasions, management suggested that his songs needed to be more “radical.”  Alan rarely missed seeing the hidden hand.

A few stories that you can dig into as you have time next week include the fact that the CDC left out major adverse reactions in their post-vaccination survey.  In documents obtained by Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN), fifteen reactions listed on the November 2020 V-Safe protocol including heart inflammation, myocarditis, stroke and death were not included in the survey.

And from Steve Kirsch’s Substack:

“In the October 2022 version of the FAA Guide for Aviation Medical Examiners, the FAA quietly widened the EKG parameters beyond the normal range (from a PR max of .2 to unlimited). And they didn’t widen the range by a little. They widened it by a lot. It was done after the vaccine rollout.

This is extraordinary. They did it hoping nobody would notice. It worked for a while. Nobody caught it.  But you can’t hide these things for long.

This is a tacit admission from the US government that the COVID vaccine has damaged the hearts of our pilots. Not just a few pilots. A lot of pilots and a lot of damage.  The cardiac harm of course is not limited to pilots.”

The FAA has very quietly tacitly admitted that the EKGs of pilots are no longer normal. We should be concerned. Very concerned.

There are bits of spirit and fight here and there.  In Switzerland, the Swiss Freedom Bell Ringers took to the streets to protest the presence of the World Economic Forum in their land.  This bit of news was covered by an independent Japanese journalist.  It’s a charming show of national pride.

Alan talked about how most people never know what is happening in their lifetimes, including his grandad back in his day.  He went off to war with his government issued rifle and returned it to the government when the war was over because “You couldn't be trusted, but it was okay for you to go off and kill people abroad for the majesty as long as you handed the gun back in when you came back with the troop ship.  He discussed how a military look and attitude is encouraged among the young.  They’re black-clad with their crew cuts like the Roman soldiers were and they’re told they are special, no longer part of the public, but privates.  Private soldiers.

An English ex-pat who has lived in Thailand many years, a long-time listener of Alan Watt’s talks, wrote recently to comment on the school system for Thai children.  “Kindergarten, Primary and the comprehensive schools are run like military camps. Every morning they stand [in t]he sun in some of the poorer schools and listen to the mindless rubbish from a teacher on an incredibly loud microphone about what length the hair should be, length of skirts for girls, and other things they have to do and not do.  These speeches go on for at least an hour, with the National anthem being played at 8 am every single day.  Nose bleeds and fainting are common when subjected to this...I saw a teacher run up to a teenage student and razor the boy’s head, make him sit down and razor the rest of his hair off very short, because it was below his ear.  No talking is allowed of course, in these daily zombie indoctrinations…

They have a Children’s Day here.  Lots of gifts, games, dancing and singing and yummy food is enjoyed. Great, but tainted with guns and soldiers that small children love huh!”

I looked at the article they sent.  In every single photo there were soldiers and weapons.

In the West, this militarization of the youth is done more subtly with tools like video games, action movies and cartoons.  A recent report claims that most children have viewed pornography by the age of ten with a significant number stating that they were watching internet pornography regularly.  Amongst teens and adults, a sought-after form is something called hentai, which is simply anime and manga pornography.  Hentai is an abbreviation of hentai seiyoku which means sexual perversions and one of the most popular perversions is sadomasochism.

The school shootings which happen with such regularity in the U.S. offer a polarized outcome.  Those on the Left cry for gun control while those on the Right come from a tradition that believes it is their duty and responsibility to be armed.  The Left thinks root problems include systemic racism and poverty.  The Right tend to blame the criminals.

The outcome is the increasing militarization of high schools and middle schools, with armed guards, metal detectors, chain link fences, security cameras and security apps now the norm in schools across the country.  Is this to keep children safe?  To keep the occasional disaffected and mentally ill student out of the school’s hallways?  Or is this the normalization of the apparatus of military control?

I remember a conversation I had twenty years ago with a recent university graduate.  She was born and raised in Miami, Florida and attended high school there.  She recalled how everyone went through the metal detector each day and stashed knives and guns were ferreted out of their “clever” hiding places on a routine basis.  Her experience was so alien to me.  My school was small.  Everyone knew everyone else, and nobody was a threat.  She laughed at my reaction.  Her experience was normal to her, not at all weird and not particularly scary.

From the ranks of children who cannot bond, whose entrance into sexuality is steeped in the perverse and the violent, for whom daily frisking and backpack searches by armed guards is the norm, comes the goon squad.  Primed and ready for their turn as enforcers in the culls of their day.
